Hard being a virtuous man and know what we want in this time of age

I think I finally know what I want.

Sometimes what we want is not really what we truly want deep inside. Sometimes the body wants something else, sometime the ego wants something else, sometimes the habits wants something else etc… But I think what we truly want is something deeper inside, our consciousness when we can quiet and calm down from the disturbance,when peace arises from the calmness and tranquillity, that’s when we can listen to what our heart truly want.

But what is hard is when we don’t know what we truly want, we are too unsettled to listen to our inner consciousness, too emotionally afflicted and so forth. What makes it difficult for us to know what we want is because of influences by our circle of friends, the immoral messages media put across which now appear as the main stream trend, and those who seems virtuous are bound by religious obligation.

I just find it inspiring to know a virtuous man in this day and age in this modern lifestyle setting. Modern times doesn’t mean you have to follow the corrupted crazy culture. We can make this modern life as virtuous as it was in the past.
