What I appreciate during quarantine

What I appreciate during quarantine:
1. The scent of outdoor plants and flowers:
I really appreciate the scent of outdoor flowers and plants now. It must be staying indoors for a long period of time that made by nose more sensitive to the pleasant smell. Or perhaps I didn’t take noticed until now. I now long to walk through the street without mask and without any worries.
2. I appreciate just walking and having a fresh air:
Spending a lot of time indoor or wearing mask outside, I really appreciate taking a stroll and breathing in that fresh air. I never thoughts I’d appreciate just to breath.
3. I appreciate nature:
Being stuck in doors and being surrounded by buildings in the middle of the city, I instinctively miss and appreciate nature. Nature somehow brings a sense of freedom, relief, calmness and re-balance my soul. I guess humans need to feel connected to their natural habitat.
4. I miss cafes:
I miss going to cafes. A place where I can relax, reflect and just soak up the ambient vibes.
5. The convenience of grocery stores and restaurants:
I miss randomly popping over to a shop to just grab a snack or a drink and eating out. Life was so easier. Now we are trying to limit number of grocery.
Final thoughts…
I guess the good aspect about the pandemic is that I now appreciate those little things that never had crossed our mind. I mean, who would of known I’d appreciate just the fresh air and taking a stroll without a mask. Perhaps this gratitude lesson will have a happy ripple effect in my future too.
