Why I reminisce the old days

There had been a time when I reminisce the old days and the old ways. I was going through a strange nostalgia emotions. Even the old days before I was born.

Why I ask? I feel that there is something nice about the past, something more innocent, original, traditional values, mellowness etc… that our new generation don’t have. I like the warm and gentle folk music, especially the chinese and japanese ones, I like old fashion temples, black and white movies etc… I like it til the 80’s.

I suppose the way of life got a lot to do with it, the old days has it’s advantages even without technology. People were really interaction with each other and there was this warmthness, gentlemen and lady approach, art and design was more natural, original and authentic and less contemporary and artificial. It was much more family orientated before the urban city culture comes in. People had more morality and values, so it speaks a more humane level. The magic and mystery was there because people won’t so exposed to media brainwash or the world weren’t that globalizd? Being less globalised also has it’s advantage, since the community were more tightly knit and people actually got to know each other more, they weren’t strangers. Lief were more simple and peaceful life, they know how to relax and enjoy life because it wasn’t polluted my excessive materialism-consumerism and trying to live up to the expectation of keep up with what is the hottest thing the media said to feed their ego. Things seems more imagine/physical base that people are living in fear of looking not nice and paranoid, things are less character base, in touch with their natural human nature.

The pace of life has gone faster, with the whole city life, caught up in the rat race, running from point A to B, competition, dog eat dog world. We need to live how they used to live, to slow down, to relax, to breath. Maybe because life were more simple and appreciative, people did not have to resort to extreme escape of binge drinking, drugs, clubbing, being promiscous etc…

We didn’t have to worry to much about the pollutions, being expose to the uncomfortable radiation of electrical technological devices, the air was more fresh, the sky was more blue and the non-eletrical charge energy and no mobile phone waves had something soothing. We weren’t paranoid and restless over mobile phones, emails, facebook messages etc…
